I don’t think giving up social networking sites or smoking or drinking for 40 days is any way useful… I mean, if you think about it, what’s the first thing you’re going to do when those 40 days are up? Yeah, turn on that computer, light up, or pop a damn bottle. Why would you give something up only to go back to it? You’re supposed to give something up to make you a better person, in hopes you don’t go back to that bad habit. But I don’t know, that’s just me and my opinion, and I’m not judging anyone who is giving up those things.

But maybe instead of giving something up only to go back to it, people should try something different and make themselves better. Pick up a new positive habit, and for sure that habit will stick after those 40 days.
